Python was made in 1991 by the benevolent dictator for life, Guido van Rossum. That’s what they call him in the Python community. The language is designed with readability in mind. Really. I mean whitespace actually matters in Python. It’s crazy. You’ll get used to it, though. I did. And now I love it. In fact, most people who learn Python end up loving the language too. To give you of an idea of why, allow me to paraphrase Wikipedia for a second here: Python was built ground up with a philosophy that emphasizes programmer effort over computer effort. What does this mean? This means that you can do more with less. This is always a good thing. Don’t believe me? Just go ahead and ask any programmer.
